When and Where
The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival 2017 will take place July 7-16. Most of the classes take place at the Crested Butte Community School, though some do occur off-site; that information will be included in your registration.
The numerous events of the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival are designed to help educate participants about this community’s local flora. Choose from going on Crested Butte wildflower hikes and walks, photography workshops, and Jeep tours to see as much of this picturesque scenery as possible. You can also take part in one of the Birding and Butterflies tour to get a glimpse of the many wildlife species that have made their homes here. They also host cooking classes that involve preparing meals with edible herbs and other plants within the Crested Butte area, as well as botany workshops to learn even more about how these plants develop and flourish.

Not sure what to wear to this event? The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival recommends hiking boots, plenty of layers, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, gloves, water, snacks, and rain gear (just in case). If you’re taking part in the photography workshops, be sure to stay on the trail and don’t pick any of the wildflowers!
